We each got a sub, him a shoulder lock and me a choke. When stuck in side control I used the tips garnered here and the interwebs and stayed more alive. Still not great in my estimation but I was able to ultimately lock him down into having no options but to transition from side control and then managed to recompose about 1/2 the time. Toreando is still my go to pass. Using my legs and feet a lot more to set up chokes and locks. Definitely has me thinking a ton more about my game.
