Tomorrow is a lifting and moving Practical involving spinal immobilization, patient movement, and extrication. This thing lasts from 8am-2pm and from what I understand I will be lifting and moving "patients" up/down stairs, tight maneuvering, etc. Fun shit but a lot of movement

Rough week at work. Got my boss leaving for California and I am pulling her weight. This session felt ok, but I can tell I am tired so I broke it down into 2 segments. I will probably skip my OALC in lieu of another LC set with the 24's. Since Scott has blended both comps and it is being held Sept, I have more time but I HAVE to get my numbers up.

ter some consideration I think some things need to happen with my training.
1) Get back to taking a daily multivitamin.
2) Start trying to get into bed at a sensible hour.
3) Simplify training.
1 & 2 are pretty simple since this could very well be the culprit for my lagging energy levels. #3 is a big one for me since I have a tendency to start out with a simple and effective plan only to end up complicating it needlessly for reasons that I can't all together define.
From here on until the competition in June at Shetler's this will be the movements that will take place:
*Press/Jerk- for time ONLY
*OALC @ 24kg and 32kg
*Swing
*LC @ 2x24kg (timed sets with a touch of volume work possible)
If I feel ballsy I will toss on a set or two of chins or a light run. I am looking at a template of something like the following.
Day 1- LC @ 2x24kg; shoot for upper range of my limit;
Day 2- OALC- 32kg, then 24kg/ Swings
Day 3- Jerk OR Press/rack hold; timed sets @ 32kg or 2x24kg/ Swings

Got a call from work way earlier than I was supposed to and subsequently felt rough all day. Had to do some driving for an interview for a promotion and once I was home I kinda passed out on the couch. Got up the balls to do some OALC with the 32 but my form was ugly and I would've just hurt myself.
Over the past month or so I have suffered from severe lack of desire to train. I am not doing that much so I don't feel that I am overtrained, just psychologically I am not there. I have been feeling more fatigued in the afternoons. Gotta figure something out. I will try to hit the KB's up with at least some OALC tonight after class.

Swing: 100 reps @ 32 kg
Chins: 2x10
Felt some pinching at the bottom of the clean so only got through one minute of LC. Eh. Still a good workout. The jerks felt easy. Now it's time for a salt soak for the hands and some coffee. Gotta clean up the hizzy today and I might just get in the garden despite the drizzles.

Palm is still sore and is pinching at the bottom of the clean so none of that today. I have trimmed the callouses down and there is still some light pinching even during swings. This pisses me off so much but what can I do. Tomorrow is my day off and I will be giving my hands a salt water soak and looking for chalk in the local area. If I can't find some here I will be ordering some from muscledriver.

Yoga: 10 mins (lots of time transitioning from plow to tabletop= lower back manna)

I have got to get some more chalk. Tried to start on a set of LC with the 24's and about 1 min into it my palm tore around a callous. This is odd sense I have never had any issues with this. The tear is reminiscient of a deadlift tear. Hopefully I will be able to order more chalk after this weekend. It is sad when you can't even afford a pound of fucking chalk. Oh well, I am going to attempt a timed set tomorrow depending on how the palm feels.

Still feeling a bit under from pulling long ass hours trying to see that my friend had a bitchin' bachelor party & wedding + working 12 hrs yesterday between a charity breakfast and the booth my wife and I set up at a music festival. I'm fucking beat.
